Supplier Quality Engineer

Description:
Essential Functions Statement(s)* Develop/improve/maintain the incoming inspection processes for purchased finished goods and create the infrastructure to support the incoming inspection activities and reporting of findings. Ensure test and procedures are carried out in a timely manner and the results evaluated, statistically analyzed and reported. * Support new product development by executing qualification inspections and providing feedback to the appropriate AZEK team members (i.e. Product Management, Procurement, Quality, etc.)* Identify gaps in purchased FG specifications and assist in the development of new quality standards when necessary. Work cross-functionally AZEK team members and vendors to improve specifications and incoming quality.* Issue SCARs to vendors for incoming inspection failures, follow-up to ensure vendors identify root cause and implement permanent and irreversible corrective actions. * Track and report SCAR status and monthly vendor scorecards.* Implement statistical tools/techniques to evaluate vendor performance and identify trends that could impact end user satisfaction.* Ensure test equipment is functioning properly and in current calibration status.* Execute vendor quality system audits.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSCompetency Statement(s)* Communication - The ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with teammates at all levels of the organization.* Analytical Skills - Ability to use disciplined problem-solving techniques.* Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.* Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions, as well as hold others accountable.* Conceptual Thinking - Ability to think in terms of abstract ideas.* Consensus Building - Ability to bring about group solidarity to achieve a goal.* Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company objectives.* Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.* Integrity - Complete transparency and openness.
