Job Description Good Day Extra is a fun, fast paced show geared toward highlighting businesses, events and lifestyle trends in the Central Ohio area. Join our dynamic and fast-paced lifestyle team! Our leading media organization is committed to delivering accurate, timely, and engaging lifestyle content to our diverse audience. As an intern in our lifestyle department, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned journalists and gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of news and lifestyle reporting. This is a part-time Internship that is unpaid. Qualifications: * Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or be considered a recent graduate * Must be at least in your sophomore year at an accredited college/university * Must be a US citizen or eligible to work in the US * Willing to work approximately 20 hours a week for 10 weeks, beginning in late May/early June of 2024 * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must have reliable transportation and be able to work from our Columbus, OH location Job Duties: * As a Lifestyle Department Intern, you will have the chance to contribute to the creation of compelling stories, assist in research, conduct pre-interviews, and witness the behind-the-scenes workings of a lifestyle show and newsroom. * No day is the same. If you excel in an active, fast-moving environment and are driven to learn the many different areas of Lifestyle production, this position is perfect for you. * You will work with clients, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers, in-house and out in the field. * You will receive training on various topics, including how to produce a lifestyle segment from the control room, how to research and pitch a great story, how to operate camera equipment, what shots matter, and more.
