SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Medical Laboratory Tech / Scientist for its client in Columbus or Dresden, OH. The person will be responsible for performing a variety of complex laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.RESPONSIBILITIES:? Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens, using automated and manual techniques.? Perform routine and specialized procedures such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.? Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and storage procedures to maintain sample integrity and accuracy of test results.? Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance as necessary.? Analyze and interpret laboratory data, documenting and reporting results accurately and timely.? Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results, provide technical expertise, and contribute to patient care decisions.? Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.? Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advances in laboratory science and technology.? Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.? Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in laboratory quality assurance programs.QUALIFICATIONS:? Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field from an accredited institution.? Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT).? 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.? Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation.? Proficiency in performing complex laboratory tests and analyses with accuracy and precision.? Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.?
